How to Lose Weight Using Fat-Burning Hormones - Part 2

The 7 Principles of Fat-Burning

Visit here for those who have miss my last issue of How to Lose Weight Using Fat-Burning Hormones - Part 1.

Principle #1

The program formulated by Dr. Zidi Berger, stated that there are a total of four different types of body shapes that are influenced by hormones. In his studies, he found that the body has a tendency to hold fat around vital organs that are stressed as an act of protection against starvation. The different body shapes are the result of specific correlating glandular problems, mainly adrenals, ovaries, thyroid and liver. This weight loss program targets all of the above problems, thus allowing maximum weight loss through better health. When on a program to lose weight, one cannot just put every body on the same foods and expect to be successful. Each person needs to eat and exercise for his or her specific gland weakness.

The outside of the body gives clues as to what is going on inside. In the case of a dysfunction adrenal glands, the body when under stress will store energy (as fat) around the vital organs in the abdomen. If there is an ovary problem, excess fat will be found accumulating around the hip and thighs with a lower stomach bulge just under the bellybutton. When the thyroid gland is weak, an overall appearance of weight gain will occur rather than in just one area as the thyroid hormones are directed into all cells of the body. For a person with liver problem, fluid can leak into the sac around the abdomen, therefore giving a "potbelly" appearance.

Principle #2

There is a common perception that weight gain or obesity is caused by "consuming more calories than are burned" and the way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories. But what about the skinny guy who eat like a horse and yet gain not a single pound. The real problem lies more in metabolism and the hormones that controls it. Eating lesser calories will only help in losing weight initially, but it will rebounds and gain even more especially in the stomach area because "low calories" or "hunger" is the trigger for the fat-storing stress hormone. Therefore, calories are insignificant as compared to Fat-Burning hormones.

Principle #3

You have to be healthy before you can lose weight. You are fat because some area of your body is unhealthy. Your weight is a symptom not a cause, try shifting all your attention to fixing the cause by creating a healthy body and the symptom of weight will be solved. Fat is potential energy because it is fuel that has not yet become energy. You need specific keys to release the fat and turn it into energy and these keys are your own hormones. You have about 600 hormones in your body and of this, six are fat-burning and three are fat storing. When you are unhealthy and this causes the three fat storing hormones are active, they will nullify all six fat-burning hormones. The secret to losing weight effectively is to activate the six and keep the three inactive.

The 7 Principles of Fat Burning Program - Review

7 Principles of Fat-Burning ImageIn this issue, I will be reviewing one of the successful weight loss program around that was devised by Dr Zidi Berger, MD of Women's Wellness Institute. In his program of 'The 7 Principles of Fat Burning', it shows you how you can get healthy to lose weight using his diet and exercise program that is suitable for your body type and lifestyles.

This program is not necessarily for people who can lose weight easily, but importantly it is for those who have a very stubborn metabolism. It provides you with the most effective leverage over how you can lose weight effectively because it addresses the very things that control how your body lose weight, the fat-burning hormones. It provides you with an easy-to-understand summary of how to use food and activities to trigger all of your fat-burning hormones.

Fat is not a cushion or insulation, as many people think, but is a store of reserve energy, and the program shows you how you can get your body to tap into and run on this energy instead of sugar energy. Most people are running their body on sugar fuel and rarely use their fat fuel, yet right now your body already have within everything you need in order to tap into your fat reserves. Therefore, it is only when your body has used up all its sugar energy before it can tap into the fat reserve energy. Appropriate triggering are required to make this effective.

Thorough the program, you are going to be triggering not just one hormone but all six key hormones to create maximum fat-burning effects. As a result, you not only will lose major weight but will get extremely healthy at the same time. The nice thing is that some of these hormones are anti-aging as well.

Different people need different solutions and the program points out that most people fall into four different types of body and need different variations of food and exercise. If you want to know more about the four different body types and how we can activate our fat-burning hormones to lose weight permanently, look out for our next issue of How to Lose Weight using Fat-Burning Hormones - Part 2.

Solutions to Lose Weight for Beginners

The Perfect Solutions to Lose Weight

Losing weight is not easy but neither is it a complicated process as most people may think. Through the years in my search for a weight loss solution that are both safe and sustainable, I finally come to conclusion that finding the perfect solution is impossible. Each of us has our own unique lifestyles, the way we eat... the food we eat... when we eat... how we live our life... so much so that the outcome of two individuals undergoing the same program may achieve totally different results.

So how do we find the perfect solution to lose weight that suits us?

Take the middle ground when you want to tailor the perfect solution to lose weight. There is no one solution that can fit you perfectly, normally you have to mix and match a few programs to get the one that is tailored to your own unique requirements. Basically, the following are a few pointers you should look at when crafting your own programs.

Tips to Lose Weight #1

Be Flexible - People who successfully maintain weight loss do not stick to extremely restrictive diet. They make healthy lifestyle changes such as;

  • Slowing down on the way we eat. It takes 20 minutes before your brain know that your stomach is full and the average meal time lasts only about 10 minutes. This resulted in us eating far more than we need, thus making about 1 billion people overweight worldwide.

  • Practicing portion control - A scoop of mashed potatoes look small on an oversize dinner plate. Try putting your food on a small 9-inch plate and your serving size will be more accurate. This will trick our mind into thinking we have eaten enough.

  • Eat less, often and regularly - Many people find that eating a couple of small snacks throughout the day helps them to make healthy choices at meals. Adding healthy snacks (e.g. whole-grain pretzels, a piece of fruit, etc) in between your three meals can help you to cut calories without feeling deprived.

Tips to Lose Weight #2

Pamper yourself once a while - Severely limiting your food intake or completely cutting out your favorite foods will be detrimental to your weight loss program. Temptation becomes much less powerful when you can have just a taste of something 'great' now and then.

Tips to Lose Weight #3

Stop Dieting for Occasions - Stop going 'on' and 'off' diets after every holiday season. Find a way of eating that works in the long haul and not relying on any plan that restricts entire food groups or relies on one type of food as its mainstay. Eat variety and choose foods that you like. Learn to prepare healthful, low-calorie foods that taste good by checking healthy cook books for new recipes. Eating well does not have to mean eating dull.

Tips to Lose Weight #4

Increase your activity level - There are lots of ways to increase the amount of your activity. Find something that you enjoys and is easy to do in terms of location and cost. You will then be more likely to build it into your routine. The following are some examples that you may want to consider;

  • Get out and about during the weekends, try to incorporate longer walks into outings at the park or coast and take a picnic so you can be in control of what you are going to eat.

  • Always use the stairs instead of the lift, or get off the bus a stop earlier and walk the rest of the way.

  • Use commercial breaks between TV programmes to stand up and do some light exercise such as hula-hoop or rope skipping while watching your favorite programme.

So make a decision right away that you are going to find and design your own perfect solution to lose weight. Nothing is perfect unless you take the first step and you will succeed if you have the determination. Come back next time for more solutions to lose weight at How to Lose Weight for Beginners.
